2. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using this website, you agree to comply with these terms and all applicable laws. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website.
Our privacy practices are explained in our Privacy Policy.
3. Website content and purpose
NorthWave Solutions publishes website content to explain its services and provide practical information about IT, cyber security, cloud, Microsoft 365, infrastructure and related topics.
Information on the website is provided for general information and business decision support. It is not a guarantee that a particular configuration, product, security control or technology approach will be suitable for every organisation.
4. No substitute for professional advice
Technology and security environments differ from one organisation to another. Website articles, guides, checklists and other content should not be treated as a substitute for a tailored technical, legal, financial, compliance or security assessment.
Before making a material change to your systems, security controls, backup arrangements or cloud environment, you should assess the potential impact on your own environment and obtain appropriate professional advice where necessary.
5. Accuracy and availability
We aim to keep the website accurate and useful, but technology, products, pricing, features, standards and legal requirements can change. We do not warrant that every item of website content will always be complete, current or free of errors.
We may change, suspend, withdraw or update website content or functionality without notice where reasonably necessary.
6. Our services and separate agreements
Descriptions of our services on this website are general descriptions and do not by themselves create an obligation to provide a particular service.
Where you engage NorthWave Solutions for paid services, the scope, deliverables, fees, support arrangements, service levels, responsibilities and other terms will be set out in the applicable agreement or order documents.
7. Website enquiries and health-check requests
Submitting a website enquiry or requesting a Free IT Health Check does not create a contract for paid services. We may contact you to understand your requirements and, where relevant, provide a proposal or recommend next steps.
You should not use public website forms to send passwords, MFA codes, private encryption keys, payment-card details or other sensitive security secrets.
8. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the website and its content, including text, graphics, logos, layout, branding and original articles, are owned by or licensed to NorthWave Solutions and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may view and print reasonable portions of the website for personal or internal business reference. You must not reproduce, republish, sell, distribute, scrape or commercially exploit website content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use the website:
- to commit or facilitate unlawful activity;
- to interfere with the website, its security or availability;
- to introduce malicious code, harmful files or disruptive traffic;
- to attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems or infrastructure; or
- in a way that infringes another person's rights or causes avoidable harm.
10. Third-party services and links
The website may use or link to third-party services, including analytics, form-processing, messaging, social-media, hosting and other external services. Third-party services operate under their own terms, privacy notices and availability arrangements.
NorthWave Solutions is not responsible for the content, security, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites or services that we do not control.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NorthWave Solutions will not be liable for losses that arise solely from your reliance on general website information or from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these website terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Any liability relating to paid professional services will be governed by the applicable agreement for those services, rather than by general website content alone.
12. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the website and the information submitted through it. However, no online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure or continuously available.
13. Privacy
Your use of the website may involve the processing of personal information. Please read our Privacy Policy for details about the information we collect, why we use it and your rights.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to the website, our business or applicable legal requirements. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
15. Severability
If a provision of these terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These website terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these website terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
